The educational system in New York City is difficult to navigate. For that reason, I am happy to participate in educational advocacy as with legal advocates to help parents to navigate the labyrinth of the special education system. Helping families attain the appropriate school or professional placement, accommodations, and intervention services critical to success. I am also happy to meet with individuals with previous evaluations to determine best next steps.
These services can look like:
- Assistance explaining the complex jargon of neuropsychological assessments
- Reviewing records and evaluations
- Consultations with teachers
- Testimony with attorneys
- Attending IEP meetings
